ICEHOGS CONTINUE HOMESTAND WEDNESDAY AGAINST WILD

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford IceHogs seek to stretch their winning streak to three games as they host the Iowa Wild on Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The teams have split the season series with two games apiece thus far.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m. and fans can tune in to all the action on Cozi TV 23.3 or Dish Network Channel 252, beginning with IceHogs Warmup at 6:30 p.m. IceHogs fans can also listen to the game at sportsfanradio1330.com or watch live at AHLlive.com (subscription required).
Wednesday’s game will mark the 2017-18 premiere of Fas Fuel Winning Weekdays. If the IceHogs win on a Winning Weekday, fans can redeem tickets from that game for a ticket of equal or lesser value to the following Winning Weekday game.
“The X” Two-Buck Beer Nights will also debut on Wednesday, thanks to 104.9 WXRX. Fans can take advantage of $2 beers, hot dogs and Upper End-Zone companion tickets.
Following the game, fans sporting facial hair are invited onto the BMO ice for a group photo as part of the attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most people with facial hair in one place at one time.
Matchup: The IceHogs (10-7-0-0, 3rd Central) have won three of their last four contests to climb back above the Wild in the Central Division standings.
Forwards Vinnie Hinostroza and Matthew Highmore lead the 2017-18 Hogs in scoring with 17 and 12 points, respectively, and have starred against the Wild this season. Hinostroza’s 2g-3a-5pts are second among both teams in the season series, while Highmore as posted 2g-1a-3pts of his own through four games.
Forward Alexandre Fortin also notched his first career AHL goal in the team’s last matchup with Iowa. Goaltender Jeff Glass has backstopped five of Rockford’s last seven wins, including two shootout victories over Grand Rapids and Chicago last weekend.
Iowa (8-6-2-0, 4th Central) enters Wednesday’s tilt riding a five-game winning streak, two of which have come against the IceHogs.
Forward Zack Mitchell was leading the Wild in scoring both on the season and against the IceHogs, but was called up to the NHL’s Minnesota Wild Tuesday. Forward Colton Beck, who has posted two goals and an assist against the Hogs this year, now leads the team in scoring with 6g-5a-11pts. Defenseman Alex Grant leads the Iowa blueliners in points, and has 1g-3a-4pts against Rockford in 2017-18. In total, nine different skaters have scored for the Wild in four games against the IceHogs this season.
Next Home Game: The IceHogs host the Iowa Wild on Friday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. Friday’s game will feature Military Appreciation Night, sponsored by Burr Pest Control, and the first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a free patriotic IceHogs baseball cap.
