ROCKFORD, Ill. – The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs clinched a berth in the 2018 Calder Cup playoffs with a victory over the Iowa Wild Tuesday night at the Wells Fargo Arena.
The IceHogs secured one of four available berths from the Central Division for the postseason, along with the Chicago Wolves, Grand Rapids Griffins and Manitoba Moose. Rockford’s seeding and opponents are still to be determined as the logjam atop the division unfolds during the final week of the regular season, and the Hogs’ potential home dates will be announced at a later date after all seeding is finalized.
