Rockford, IL -  The Rockford IceHogs look for their first win in front of their home crowd as they host the Texas Stars this evening, Sunday, November 1st, at 4:00 p.m.

The Matchup:

Last Time Out: The last time the IceHogs faced the Stars was the final game of the 2025-26 campaign at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas. The IceHogs would fall 5-1 on the road to the Stars. After conceding an early goal in the first period, Samuel Savoie secured a loose puck off a faceoff to tie the game 1-1. Texas went on to score four unanswered goals and punched their ticket to the Calder Cup Playoffs, where they were taken down by the Chicago Wolves in the first round.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

Hot Hand Hayes: Rockford's Gavin Hayes continued a strong start to the season with a power-play goal in a 6-3 loss to the Manitoba Moose. Hayes' 6th score was enough to catapult him into the top 10 of all AHL goal-scorers. Hayes has scored a goal in four consecutive games and tallied a point in seven of the IceHogs nine games played.

Central Battle: The IceHogs and Stars have both been victims of slow starts this season. The teams rank 6th and 7th in the AHL's Central Division, both with six points this season. The teams will face each other twice in November, with divisional seeding being a key factor in their matchups.

The BMO Factor: While the IceHogs search for their first home win of the season, the Stars are simultaneously looking to secure their first road victory. The Texas Stars are 0-3-1 away from the H-E-B Center, with another matchup in Grand Rapids on Wednesday before returning to Cedar Park for a four-game homestand.
