IceHogs' Celebrate Seney's Milestone Night with 4-3 Shootout Win in Iowa

Des Moines, IA - The Rockford IceHogs skated past the Iowa Wild on Sunday night with a 4-3 shootout win inside the Casey's Center.
The Wild scored on one of their four 1st period power plays at 6:33 of the opening period. Gerry Mayhew had the puck roll to his stick in the slot and wristed a shot past Rockford goaltender Olivier Rodrigue.
Rockford equalized at 4:21 of the 2nd period when Samuel Savoie's quick shot from the left circle knocked off two Iowa skaters and into the net.
The Hogs earned a 2-1 lead later in the frame after an extended zone time shift. Dillon Boucher let a snap shot free from the left point and recorded his 3rd of the season.
Brett Seney extended the Rockford advantage to 3-1 with three minutes to go in the middle period. The captain, celebrating his 500th professional game, jammed a backhand past Iowa's Will Rousseau from the slot.
The Wild got back within a goal scoring a shorthanded marker off the stick of Ben Jones at 7:21 of the 3rd.
Jones notched his second of the night for Iowa with just over a minute to play to tie the game at 3-3 and force OT.
After a scoreless overtime, Rem Pitlick and Joey Anderson scored in the shootout. Rodrigue stopped both Iowa attempts and gave Rockford the two points.
