ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs cap a three-games-in-three-days series with a road game at the Chicago Wolves for the final game of the 2017 calendar year.

Matchup: The IceHogs (18-12-1-1, 2nd Central) have split the first two games of their three-and-three series and enter tonight’s finale with points in eight of their last 11 contests since Dec. 1. Rockford, including Thursday’s win at Iowa and Friday’s loss against the Wild, is 7-3-0-1 over that span.
Forward Anthony Louis has totaled nine points in his last 10 games, combining for two goals and seven assists since the beginning of December. Blueliner Ville Pokka has also contributed offensively as of late with at least one helper in six of his last nine appearances. Pokka will also take the ice tonight ranked second among Hogs skaters with four points (2g, 2a) against the Wolves this season.
The Wolves (13-12-5-2, 5th Central) currently boast points in nine straight games and a record of 7-0-1-1 during their streak. Chicago is led by former IceHogs winger and Rockford’s all-time leading scorer, Brandon Pirri, who has colleted 25 points (11g, 14a) this year and a team high-tying five points against the Hogs. Winger Paul Thompson also has five points in the series with Rockford and ranks third among all Wolves skaters with 20 total points on the season.
