Rockford, IL - The Rockford IceHogs fell to the Iowa Wild 4-0 inside the BMO Center of Saturday night.
After a scoreless 1st period, the Wild struck for two goals in the middle frame. Caedan Bankier finished on the power play from the near circle and beat Drew Commesso's glove with his finish.
Iowa made it 2-0 with four minutes to go in the period with an even-strength tally from Gerry Mayhew. The former IceHog forward banged in a rebound from just outside the crease.
Will Zmolek and Riley Heidt scored 3rd period goals to tack on for the 4-0 win.
