Rockford, Ill- The Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have returned forward Paul Zanette on loan to the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.
The Nobleton, Ontario native has been held scoreless in five games with Rockford this season, registering one shot on goal and garnering a plus/minus rating of -1.
In 13 games with Toledo, Zanette has tallied six points on 3g-3a. The winger missed 23 games earlier in the campaign due to an injury.
The 23-year-old made his AHL debut last season with the Hamilton Bulldogs, tallying one goal in seven regular season contests and two goals in 11 playoff tilts.
Before joining Hamilton, Zanette played four seasons at Niagara University, notching 53g-52a-105pts in 128 contests. He was a Hobey Baker Memorial Award Finalist during his senior season in 2010-11.
