ROCKFORD, Ill. – The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs today announced they have assigned defenseman Josh McArdle to their ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel.
McArdle, 24, was recalled on Dec. 4 and skated in one game with the IceHogs on Dec. 14 at Grand Rapids. He logged a shot and two penalty minutes in the contest and has now combined to appear in three total AHL games this year with Rockford.
The Roscoe, Illinois native returns to Indy where he has collected three points (1g, 2a) and 15 penalty minutes in 18 ECHL games. The blueliner is +3 over his last 13 games with the Fuel, skating to an ever-or-better plus/minus rating in 11 of those 13 contests. He notched his first professional point with an assist on Oct. 30 vs. Idaho.
