ICEHOGS ANNOUNCE NEW SATURDAY START TIME AND OPENING NIGHT OPPONENT

Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs are set to begin their 19th season of professional hockey in October. The club kicks off the home portion of their 2017-18 regular season schedule against the Iowa Wild on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
Not only is the game the first of the year on BMO Harris Bank Center ice, but it marks the debut of the team’s new 6 p.m. start time on Saturday nights.
“From the overwhelming response that we received from our fans through a season ticket holder survey, we look forward to offering a more accommodating start time on Saturdays this season,” said IceHogs Director of Business Operations Mike Peck. “With a 6 p.m. Saturday start time, this gives families a better opportunity to enjoy the entire game while also offering a chance for all fans to experience the renaissance of downtown Rockford after the game.”
The IceHogs and Wild clashed 10 times last season (five times at the BMO), and Rockford has posted an 11-5-2-2 record against Iowa all-time at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The two clubs will meet a total of 12 times in 2017-18.
The full 2017-18 regular season schedule will be released in the near future.
