
IceHogs Announce 2025-26 Opening Night Roster
Rockford, IL - The Rockford IceHogs announced today the team's opening night roster which includes 16 forwards, eight defensemen, and two goaltenders.
Forwards: Dillon Boucher, Joe Carroll, Jackson Cates, Jamie Engelbert, Ryan Gagnier, Gavin Hayes, Nick Lardis, Paul Ludwinski, Marcel Marcel, Martin Misiak, Oliver Moore, Connor Mylymok, Samuel Savoie, Brett Seney, Aidan Thompson, Dominic Toninato
Defensemen: Nolan Allan, Ethan Del Mastro, Cavan Fitzgerald, Taige Harding, Kevin Korchinski, Dmitri Kuzmin, Ryan Mast, Andrew Perrott
Goaltenders: Drew Commesso, Stanislav Berezhnoy
Of the group, six are rookies and 17 return to the IceHogs after appearing with the team in previous years.
The roster features an exciting balance of returning veterans and high-end Blackhawks' draft picks.
Goaltender Drew Commesso readies for his third season in a Rockford uniform. Last spring, the 23-year-old had a fantastic finish to his sophomore season, earning a .930 save percentage in his last 22 games.
Brett Seney is back in Rockford for his fourth season and second serving as team captan. The forward has recorded 56 career goals and 156 points while wearing an IceHogs' uniform and signed a two-year contract with Rockford this summer.
Cavan Fitzgerald leads the defense core and named the team's "MVP" and "Heaviest Hitter" last season. The nine-year pro has had his two best scoring seasons of his career over the last two years.
Forward Nick Lardis, a third-round draft selection of the Blackhawks in 2023, prepares for his rookie season with the IceHogs. The winger is fresh off a year in the OHL with the Brantford Bulldogs where he recorded 71 goals.
Oliver Moore was selected 19th overall by the Hawks in 2023. The University of Minnesota product finished his season with the Gophers last spring and joined Chicago for the final nine games of the regular season, where he recorded four assists.
The IceHogs open the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 11 against the Milwaukee Admirals with a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. Fans can start the festivities downtown early with the IceHogs' annual Opening Night Block Party. Tickets are still available at icehogs.com.
