ICEHOGS ANNOUNCE 2018-19 BROADCAST SCHEDULE

1819 Broadcast Schedule

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs today announced the full broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 season. All 76 games will be televised locally on WIFR’s 23.2 Antenna TV, and the live radio broadcast for each contest will also be streamed online through the IceHogs’ Facebook page and Sportsfan1330.com.

IceHogs broadcaster Joseph Zakrzewski will provide the call for each game in 2018-19 and fans can tune directly into his play-by-play coverage through the IceHogs Facebook page. The Facebook Live broadcast will provide a unique hub for fans during games this year, as anyone tuned into the broadcast can chat with fellow listeners throughout each IceHogs game.

The radio stream for each contest will also again be available on sportsfan1330.com, through the IceHogs mobile app, mixlr page and IceHogs.com. In addition, a select number of games will be carried live on sportsfan AM 1330, and will include a pregame show beginning 15 minutes before puck drop.

Each televised broadcast for the 2018-19 season will be available locally in the Rockford area on WIFR’s 23.2 Antenna TV. TV broadcasts will begin with a segment of the “IceHogs Warm Up” pregame show 30 minutes prior to puck drop.

Newly available this season, fans will also have access to the AHL’s new online video streaming service, AHLTV. This premium service will feature live streaming of every AHL game in high definition on desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile devices, as well as over-the-top (OTT) platforms such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast and Android TV. AHLTV subscriptions, which include live and archived games, begin at just $79.99 for the entire 2018-19 regular season.

AHLTV games will feature a state-of-the-art “ViPR” system of video production, which provides a consistent viewing experience for all AHL games, regardless of arena. As part of the ViPr system, every arena in the AHL has been outfitted with a camera that will capture the entire sheet of ice in one high-definition, undistorted, panoramic view that lets mobile viewers control what they see by pinching, zooming and tilting their phone.
