ICEHOGS ADD TWO FROM INDY
Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, announced that they have recalled forward Daniel Ciampini and defenseman Sam Jardine from the ECHL’s Indy Fuel.
Ciampini, 25, has recorded one goal in 10 games with the IceHogs this season. He has played in 48 games with the Fuel and is the team's second-highest scorer as he has notched 38 points on 14 goal and 24 assists.
A native of Concord, Ont., Ciampini played in 15 games for the AHL’s Worcester Sharks in 2014-15 upon completing his senior season at Union College. While with the Sharks, he scored three goals and added three assists for six points.
Jardine, 22, has notched two goals and three assists in 50 games for the Fuel this season. The Lacombe, Alberta native has appeared in six games with the IceHogs this season after making his AHL debut on Oct. 30 against the Iowa Wild.
The rookie previously played for the Ohio State University Buckeyes from 2012-15 where he totaled 32 points (3g-29a) in 97 career games.
Jardine was drafted by the Blackhawks in the sixth round (#169 overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
