ICEHOGS ADD THREE FROM INDY
Rockford, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have reassigned goaltender Mac Carruth from the ECHL’s Indy Fuel to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs. Additionally, the IceHogs have recalled defensemen Kirill Gotovets and Justin Holl from the Fuel.
Carruth, 23, has appeared in two games for the IceHogs this season, posting a 2-0-0 record including his first career AHL shutout on Nov. 23 against the Chicago Wolves. The second year netminder shows a 1.00 goals against average and .960 save percentage in his two starts for Rockford.
The Jackson, Wyo. native has appeared in 39 games with the Fuel this season, showing a 17-13-7 record with a 2.55 goals against average and .914 save percentage.
Gotovets, 23, has registered a goal and an assist in nine games for the IceHogs this season. The rookie d-man tallied his first career AHL goal in his IceHogs debut on Feb. 20, 2015 against Lake Erie. In 47 games with the Fuel this season, Gotovets shows seven goals and six assists.
Holl, 23, has skated in one game with Rockford this season, making his AHL debut against the Texas Stars on Feb. 28, 2015. The Tonka Bay, Minn. native has recorded seven goals and 27 assists with Indy during his rookie campaign.
