ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford IceHogs look to build on last night’s win over Grand Rapids as they take on the Chicago Wolves Sunday evening at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The IceHogs earned points in six of 12 contests against the Wolves in 2016-17, but Chicago took home the Illinois Lottery Cup at the end of the season.

Matchup: The IceHogs (9-7-0-0, T-3rd Central) earned their second win in their last three games by defeating the Grand Rapids Griffins 3-2 in a shootout last night.
Forward Vinnie Hinostroza notched his team-leading 16th point with an assist last night, and netted the shootout winner as well. Fellow forward Matthew Highmore moved into second in team scoring with his sixth goal of the year last night, and Andreas Martinsen found the back of the net as well for the first time as a member of the IceHogs.
Chicago (4-9-1-0, 7th Central) enters the matchup in the midst of a five-game losing streak after extending its skid with a 6-4 loss to Manitoba last night. Forward Teemu Pulkkinen leads the team’s attack with 6g-10a-16pts through 14 games. Former IceHogs forward Brandon Pirri follows with 4g-4a-8pts, while T.J. Tynan sits close behind with 1g-7a-8pts of his own.
Next Home Game: The IceHogs host the Iowa Wild on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. for the first of nine Fas Fuel Winning Weekdays in 2017-18.
