ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs travel to Rosemont seeking to make up ground in the 2017-18 Illinois Lottery Cup series against the Chicago Wolves on Saturday

Matchup: The IceHogs (24-17-3-3, 4th Central) rallied to force overtime against Manitoba last night and enter Saturday’s tilt boasting points in 10 of the last 12 games. Rockford currently trails Chicago by three points in the Illinois Lottery Cup standings with a 3-3-0-0 record thus far in the season series.
Forward Anthony Louis scored his eighth goal of the season in yesterday’s contest against the Moose and is now second on the team in scoring behind only All-Star Matthew Highmore. Louis has totaled 27 points during his first full professional season and takes the ice tonight with goals in back-to-back games and eight points (3g, 5a) in his last 11 contests. Fellow Hogs winger Andreas Martinsen also found the scoresheet Friday, recording an assist for his eighth point (2g, 6a) in his last 10 appearances dating to Jan. 10.
In net, goaltender Collin Delia has backstopped Rockford to points in each of his last seven starts. Delia is 5-0-1-1 in that span with a 2.36 GAA and .926 save percentage.
The Wolves (23-15-6-2, 3rd central) currently own a three-point edge in the series with Rockford with a 3-0-2-1 clip in the Illinois Lottery Series thus far this year. Chicago also boasts a franchise-record 11-game home winning streak entering tonight’s contest.
The Wolves are led by Rockford’s all-time leading scorer, Brandon Pirri, who has combined for six points (4g, 2a) in six games against his former IceHogs team this year. Chicago also features a trio of skaters who are each tied for second in scoring in the series, as Paul Thompson, Wade Megan and Teemu Pulkkinen have amassed five points apiece against Rockford in 2017-18.
