First Texas road trip slated for Week 15
Week 14 Recap:
Close, but not close enough for the Rockford IceHogs in Week 14. The IceHogs dropped all four contests (0-3-0-1) during the final week in 2011, including the last three games by a combined four goals. Saturday’s game began a season-long seven-game road swing that brings Rockford to Texas for the first time in 2011-12 to face the Houston Aeros and Texas Stars in Week 15.

Hot Hog: Week 14:
Andrew Shaw Center
Rookie center Andrew Shaw had three goals and an assist during Week 14 to close out an impressive December for the rookie center. After getting held off of the score sheet on Monday in Milwaukee, Shaw tallied his third two-goal game of the month on Thursday in Chicago in Rockford’s 5-3 loss to the Wolves. On Friday, the Belleville, Ont. native tallied his 13th goal of the season in Rockford’s 4-3 shootout loss to Oklahoma City and then marked an assist on Saturday in a 3-2 loss at Peoria. Shaw totaled 8g-1a-9pts in December.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, Jan. 6 at Houston Aeros: The puck drops at 7:35 p.m. The IceHogs head to Texas for the first time this season for their first matchup of the campaign with the Aeros. The game is the first of four overall on the year between the two two clubs with two tilts slated at the Toyota Center.
Saturday, Jan. 7 at Texas Stars: Game time is set for 7 p.m. Rockford’s season-long seven game road swing continues in Cedar Park, Texas against the Stars. The game is the second of four on the season between the two clubs and opens a two-game season set at Cedar Park Center.
Sunday, Jan. 8 at Texas Stars: Face off is slated for 5 p.m. The Lone Star State swing continues against the Stars as the IceHogs meet up with Texas for a second straight day. The game is the second and final contest between the two teams at Cedar Park Center and third of four overall in 2011-12.
Bud Light Hog Talk Tonight At Granite City:
Bud Light Hog Talk makes its weekly appearance tonight at Granite City Food and Brewery from 6-7 p.m. Granite City is located at 7140 Harrison Ave. next to CherryVale Mall. Fans can join Mike Peck from 6-7 p.m. tonight as he chats with IceHogs defenseman Ryan Stanton and goalie Alec Richards along with assistant coach Ben Simon. Take advantage of food and Bud Light specials. If you can't make it to Granite City, tune into 1330-AM WNTA or 100.5-FM NTA.
