Rockford picks up one of six points
Week 17 Recap
The IceHogs rallied back from a two goal deficit in front of a sellout crowd on Saturday at the MetroCentre but dropped the contest 3-2 to the Milwaukee Admirals in overtime. The Hogs went 0-2-1-0 during Week 17 and have two games on the slate for Week 18. Over the next six games, four are on the road, including Friday’s tilt against the West Division rival Milwaukee Admirals.

Hot Hog: Week 17
Mathis Olimb Right Wing
Forward Mathis Olimb chipped in a point in all three of Rockford’s games during Week 17. Olimb opened the week with an assist on Tuesday in Rockford’s 3-2 loss at Peoria. Then on Friday, Olimb helped on another Rockford tally before turning in his fourth multi-point game of the season on Saturday against Milwaukee. Olimb’s late third period goal against the Admirals forced overtime and helped end Rockford’s four-game regulation losing streak.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, Feb. 4 at Milwaukee Admirals: Game time is 7 p.m. Rockford heads to Milwaukee for the back end of a home-and-home series with the West Division rival Milwaukee Admirals. The game is the sixth of 10 meetings on the season between the two clubs and third of five at the Bradley Center.
Saturday, Feb. 5 vs. Abbotsford Heat: Game starts at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs welcome the Abbotsford Heat to the MetroCentre for the final time in 2010-11. Rockford shows a record of 2-1-0-0 against the Heat on the campaign and 5-2-0-0 all-time. The first 2,500 fans into the building will get an IceHogs Fleece Blanket courtesy of Lonnie’s Carpet Max.
