Rockford tied for first in AHL’s West Division
Week 19 Recap
Taking four out of a possible six points in Week 19 kept the Rockford IceHogs near the top of the AHL’s West Division. After two solid wins during the week, Rockford fell for the first time ever in the Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday against the Lake Erie Monsters. Week 20 features a home-and-home with the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday and Saturday.

-All three of Rockford’s games during Week 19 finished 5-3 with the IceHogs winning two of them
-Rockford suffered their first loss at the Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday and have a 5-1-0-0 record against the Monsters there all-time
-Rockford held Lake Erie to just one power-play opportunity on Saturday marking the 13th time this season in which the IceHogs have held its opponents to two or fewer power play chances in a game
-Center Mark Cullen appeared in his 500th career professional game on Friday in Lake Erie

-After going scoreless in nine straight contests, Akim Aliu has nine points (4g-5a) over his past 12 games
-Richard Petiot recorded a career-high three points (1g-2a) on Friday against Lake Erie with a plus/minus of +3
Hot Hog Week 19:
Bryan Bickell led the IceHogs in Week 19 with six points in three games. Rockford’s winger began the week with a season-high three points (1g-2a) against Grand Rapids, including the primary assist on the Hogs game-winning goal. Bickell then came back with a goal and an assist in Rockford’s 5-3 win at Lake Erie on Saturday and finished off the three-game week with an assist on Saturday against the Monsters.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, Feb. 12 at Milwaukee: The IceHogs head to the Bradley Center for a home-and-home set against the second place Milwaukee Admirals. The game starts at 7p.m. It’s the sixth of ten matchups between the West Division rivals.
Saturday, Feb. 13 vs. Milwaukee: Game time is 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans to the MetroCentre will pick up a Mr. Potato Head courtesy of Frito Lay and Q98.5.
