HOGS OPEN 2018 SLATE vs. CLEVELAND

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford IceHogs return to the BMO Harris Bank Center Tuesday to kick off their 2018 slate of games against the Cleveland Monsters.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m. and fans can tune in to all the action on Cozi TV 23.3 or Dish Network Channel 252, beginning with IceHogs Warmup at 6:30 p.m. IceHogs fans can also listen to the game at sportsfanradio1330.com or watch live at AHLlive.com (subscription required).
Matchup: The IceHogs (18-13-1-1, 2nd Central) enter tonight’s contest with points in eight of the last 12 contests and a 7-4-0-1 record over that span. Rockford has split the first two games of the season series with the Monsters prior to tonight’s game, shutting out Cleveland 4-0 in the season opener and suffering a 3-2 loss on Halloween.
Forward Tyler Sikura takes the ice tonight with goals in each of his last three games. Fellow winger Anthony Louis has also found the scoresheet as of late, totaling nine points (2g, 7a) in his last 11 games since the beginning of December.
Tomas Jurco currently paces Rockford in scoring against the Monsters with two goals and two assists in two contests. Jurco notched a season-high three points in his 2017-18 debut, boosting the Hogs to their 4-0 victory with one goal and a pair of assists in the win.
Cleveland (9-15-3-2, 5th Central) arrives in Rockford with just one win in its last nine games and only two victories over its last 15 contests. The team is led in scoring by Carter Camper, who has notched 20 points (7g, 13a) in 29 games this season, and winger Miles Koules, who shares the Monsters lead in goals with seven on the year.
In net, Matiss Kivlenieks in 4-9-2 with a 3.38 GAA in a team-high 16 appearances. The goaltender has lost each of his last three games and is just 1-4-0 over his last five outings since Dec. 18.
