HOGS HOST MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT THIS FRIDAY

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs return from the Thanksgiving holiday to host the Iowa Wild on Friday, Nov. 24 at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Friday’s contest is the IceHogs’ annual Military Appreciation Night, presented by Burr Pest Control, and will feature specialty jerseys, an item drive for the Rockford Veterans Drop-in Center and a patriotic baseball hat giveaway.

Time: Puck drop is at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Baseball Hat Giveaway: The first 2,500 fans in the building will receive a free patriotic IceHogs baseball hat, courtesy of Burr Pest Control.
Specialty Jerseys: The 2017-18 military jersey contains red and black digital camouflage and an IceHogs nose-art logo (a plane with the likeness of Hammy Hog is front and center against a backdrop of the sky and clouds, with the words “When Pigs Fly” in script above the roundel).
A select number of the game-worn sweaters will be auctioned off at the game via blind-silent auction, and two of the jerseys will be available for bidding online beginning Monday, Nov. 6, with proceeds benefitting the Veterans Drop-in Center in Rockford. Fans may also enter an in-game raffle throughout Friday's contest for a chance to win one of the specialty jerseys.
Last season’s military jersey auction raised nearly $20,000.
Veterans Drop-In Center Item Donation: The IceHogs will be collecting donations for the Rockford Veterans Drop-In Center during the game Friday. Suggested donations include paper products or microwavable food items, however, gently-used clothing and non-perishable food items will also be accepted. All fans who donate will receive a free ticket voucher for the IceHogs home game on Tuesday, Dec. 12 against the Chicago Wolves.

Air Force Recruit Swear-In Ceremony: The Air Force will honor its class of new recruits with a special swear-in ceremony during the first intermission of the Nov. 24 game. The Air Force recruits will also make an on-ice presentation of the American flag during the National Anthem.
Blues Flame Lounge Pregame Party (presented by Vintage @ 501): Fans ages 21 and older can kick-off their weekend festivities with a Pregame Party at the Blues Flame Lounge, located on the BMO Harris Bank Center concourse. Friday’s event begins with live music from Hobson’s Choice at 5:15 p.m. and will also feature free appetizers and happy-hour specials.
