Three more road games for Rockford’s road warriors in Week 13

Week 12 Recap
Tuesday, Dec. 18: Rockford 5 at San Antonio 2
Friday, Dec. 21: Rockford 1 at Grand Rapids 2 SO
Saturday, Dec. 22: Milwaukee 2 vs. Rockford 4

Week 13 Schedule
Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Peoria, 7p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 27 at Chicago, 7p.m
Saturday, Dec. 29 at Peoria, 8p.m.

Week 12 Recap
A rigorous road schedule trudged on for the Rockford IceHogs during Week 12, and the Hogs came away with five of six points with a home game squeezed in there. The IceHogs continue to sit atop the AHL’s West Division despite having the most road games played in the league with three more on the horizon during Week 13.

Bacon Bits:
-Rockford has not lost in regulation since 11/24 at Chicago, a stretch of 13 games (9-0-0-4)
-The 13-game unbeaten streak is a franchise record for the IceHogs
-Center Martin St. Pierre has a team season-high 11-game point streak (5g-10a)
-Winger Bryan Bickell has a point in five-straight games (1g-4a)
-Goalie Corey Crawford has been in goal for all of Rockford’s 13 games during the current unbeaten streak
-During the Hogs 13-game unbeaten streak, Crawford has given up more than two goals in regulation just four times
-Rockford was held without a power-play goal for only the sixth time in 32 games on Saturday against Milwaukee
-All 18 of Rockford’s remaining road games are against the AHL’s West Division
-Cam Barker was re-called to the Chicago Blackhawks during Week 12 making him the seventh IceHogs skater to play in the NHL this season
-The IceHogs have an AHL best home record of 9-1-0-1 and have played an AHL low 11 home games
-Rockford is 14-0-1-2 when leading after two periods

Hot Hog Week 12:
Winger Kris Versteeg tallied goals in all three games for Rockford during Week 12 and recorded two multi-point games. Overall, Versteeg had six points and a plus/minus rating of +3. Versteeg was named the #1 Star on 12/18 at San Antonio and on 12/22 against Milwaukee. On Saturday against Milwaukee, Versteeg had his first three-point night of the season.

Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Peoria. The puck drops at 7 p.m. Rockford begins another three-game road swing, this time in Peoria. The game is the first of two on the week against the Rivermen at Carver Arena and the second overall match up on the season between the West Division teams.

Thursday, Dec. 27 at Chicago Wolves. Game time is 7p.m. The IceHogs and Wolves re-unite once again at the All-State Arena in Rosemount. The meeting is the third of the the season between Rockford and Chicago.

Saturday, Dec. 29 at Peoria Rivermen. The game starts at 8 p.m. Week 13 comes to an end for Rockford as they head back to Peoria to take on the Rivermen. The game is the 24th on the road for Rockford and final during the 2007 calendar year.

Where to Watch the IceHogs:
IceHogs fans can now catch every IceHogs regular season game live on TV! Every IceHogs home game during the 2007-08 season can be viewed on Insight Cable Channel-57. When the IceHogs are on the road fans can watch them live at Damon’s Grill in Rockford. Fans can take advantage of great Bud Light specials and food specials at Damon’s Grill.

No Hog Talk This Week At Cousin’s Bar and Grill:
There will not be a Bud Light Hog Talk tonight at Cousin’s Bar and Grill because of Christmas . The show will return on Monday, Jan. 6. The show is hosted by Jim Stone and Double T and features IceHogs players and coaches. The show runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and can also be heard live on 1330AM WNTA.
