Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs travel to Hoffman Estates, Ill. Friday night for a matchup against the Chicago Wolves at Triphahn Ice Arena.

Matchup: The IceHogs enter Friday’s matchup following a 4-3 loss to the Milwaukee Admirals Thursday night at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Rockford rallied behind a three-goal second period to lead, 3-2, entering the final stanza, but late tallies from Frederic Allard and Angelo Miceli boosted Milwaukee to its eventual 4-3 victory.
Forward Matheson Iacopelli potted a goal for the IceHogs in the defeat and now has five points (2g, 3a) in nine career games with Rockford. Iacopelli scored his first AHL goal in his pro debut last season on March 31 vs. Texas prior to finding twine at 8:44 in the second period Thursday night.
Last season, the Chicago Wolves took the overall series against the Hogs, 8-3-0-1, for Chicago’s first Illinois Lottery Cup victory in three years. The team was led by forward Wade Megan, who finished his first campaign with the Wolves with a team high-tying 16 points (7g, 9a) in 12 games against Rockford during the 2016-17 series.
