HOGS BEGIN PRESEASON THURSDAY

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs open their 2014-15 preseason slate on Thursday when the Midwest Division rival Chicago Wolves visit the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7 p.m.

Admission to the IceHogs first preseason contest is free to the public, compliments of the Rockford Register Star. IceHogs season ticket holders will be allowed to enter the arena at 5:30 p.m. while the gates will open at 6 p.m. for the general public.

Fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item (canned fruit and vegetables preferred) to the game. The food will be donated to the Rock River Valley Food Pantry and each fan who donates an item will receive a coupon good for a buy one, get one free ticket voucher for any IceHogs regular season home game during the month of October (limit one coupon per person).

The IceHogs will conclude the preseason Friday with a trip to Milwaukee, Wis. to take on the Admirals. The game in Milwaukee is set for 7 p.m. at the Kern Center.

Rockford’s training camp roster currently stands at 33 players, including 17 forwards, 13 defenseman and three goaltenders.
