HOGS ACQUIRE MATHIEU BEAUDOIN, LEBLANC DEALT
Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have acquired Mathieu Beaudoin in a trade from the Hershey Bears. Additionally, the Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled forward Peter LeBlanc from the IceHogs and traded him to the Washington Capitals for future considerations.
Beaudoin, 28, has posted three goals and seven assists in 32 games with the Bears this season. The Rock Forest, Quebec, native has appeared in 269 career AHL contests with Hershey, Portland, San Antonio, Texas, Houston, Milwaukee, Rochester and Iowa. During that time, Beaudoin has accumulated 59 goals and 88 assists.
Prior to turning pro, Beaudoin skated for four seasons at the Ohio State University, compiling 89 points (52g-37) in 149 games.
LeBlanc, 24, has recorded four goals and eight assists in 34 games with the IceHogs this season. Originally selected in the seventh round (#186 overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Blackhawks, LeBlanc has appeared in 163 regular-season AHL tilts, all with the IceHogs, and tallied 40 goals and 46 assists.
