DES MOINES, IA – The Rockford IceHogs conclude a two-games-in-two-days set with a Saturday night matchup against the Iowa Wild at the Wells Fargo Arena.

Matchup: The IceHogs (25-19-3-3, 5th Central) allowed a third-period hat trick on Friday night to snap a six-game home point streak with a 5-3 loss to the Milwaukee Admirals. The IceHogs, including last night’s loss to the Admirals, now begin play Saturday having dropped four of their last five games since Jan. 27.
Rockford’s special teams have helped pace the offense as of late, with the power-play unit scoring goals in each of the last three contests. The IceHogs have gone a combined 4-for-12 on the power play over that span with power-play goals against the Wolves, Rampage and Admirals.
Forward Anthony Louis and defenseman Darren Raddysh will take the ice Saturday each riding a season-high point streak. Louis has registered points in each of his last five games with two goals and three assists, while Raddysh has collected points in three consecutive contests with one marker and a pair of helpers.
The Wild (23-15-7-3, 3rd Central) welcome the IceHogs having posted points in seven of their last 10 tilts and are in the midst of a five-game home point streak. The team is led by forwards Sam Anas and Cal O’Reilly, who have amassed a team-high 39 points apiece thus far this season. Anas paces all Wild skaters with 18 goals in 42 contests, and O’Reilly ranks first among team skaters with 31 assists in 47 appearances in 2017-18.
In net, Niklas Svedberg is 13-9-3-2 with a 2.56 GAA in 25 games this year. He backstopped the Wild to a victory against the Chicago Wolves last night and has now triumphed in six of his last seven appearances.
