Cleveland, Ohio – Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Thursday that winger Adam Hobson was recalled from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) and goalie Alec Richards was returned to the Walleye.
The recall to Rockford is Hobson’s third this season. Hobson, 23, has appeared in six games with Rockford in 2009-10, accumulating a goal and an assist. In his third professional season, the Mission, BC native has played in 72 games with the IceHogs, totaling 7g-14a.
A seventh round pick (#203 overall) by the Blackhawks in the 2005 NHL Draft, Hobson leads the Walleye with 44 points in 37 games this season. Hobson recorded 17 points with Toledo in 11 January games.
Richards was recalled to Rockford on Wednesday to back up after Joe Fallon was recalled from the IceHogs to Chicago. Richards has played in six games with the IceHogs in ’09-10 and has a record of 3-2-0-0 with a 3.12 goals against average and a .895 save percentage.
