HOBSON AND BRODEUR SENT TO PENSACOLA
Pair reassigned to Hogs ECHL affiliate
Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs General Manager of Hockey Operations Al MacIsaac announced on Friday that the American Hockey League club has reassigned forward Adam Hobson and goaltender Mike Brodeur to the club’s ECHL affiliate Pensacola Ice Pilots.
Hobson had played in 25 games with Rockford and scored his first career AHL goal on Dec. 26 in Peoria in Rockford’s 4-3 win over the Rivermen. Overall, Hobson had a goal and four assists with the IceHogs with 36 penalty minutes. The reassignment to Pensacola is Hobson’s second of the season as the winger appeared in two games with the Ice Pilots earlier this season.
Brodeur appeared in two games with Rockford since getting called up to the club on Dec. 9. The Oshawa, Ontario native won his IceHogs debut on Dec. 29 at Peoria making 40 saves in Rockford’s 4-2 win over the Rivermen. In his second start on Jan. 13 in Quad City, Brodeur had to depart after the first period after suffering an upper body contusion.
Prior to his call up to the IceHogs, Brodeur was 2-6-0-2 with the Ice Pilots in 12 games with a .906 save percentage.
