HJALMARSSON WINS FAN VOTE FOR FINAL BOBBLEHEAD
Rockford, Ill.- Fans voted Chicago Blackhawks defenseman and former Rockford IceHogs skater (2007-08, 2008-09) Niklas Hjalmarsson as the third and final bobblehead giveaway for 2010-11 courtesy of U.S. Cellular. The bobblehead is slated for Saturday, March 19 as the IceHogs host Peoria at 7:05 p.m.
U.S. Cellular allowed fans the opportunity to vote for the third bobblehead in a three-player set to be given away. Hjalmarsson beat out Bryan Bickell and Troy Brouwer in the voting submitted by text messages.
The IceHogs gave away a Jack Skille bobblehead on Nov. 27 against Peoria and Kyle Beach on Jan. 8 against Grand Rapids. Hjalmarsson’s figurine will complete the set and a stand for all three is included in the giveaway.
