Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have reassigned forward Vinnie Hinostroza to the Rockford IceHogs.
Hinostroza, 22, skated to a +1 plus/minus rating with three shots in two games with the Blackhawks since his recall on Feb. 19. The Barlett, Illinois native has appeared in 48 NHL games with Chicago this season, totaling 6g-8a-14pts with three multi-point efforts during his rookie campaign.
Hinostroza now returns to the IceHogs where he has tallied one assist in three AHL games on the year. The forward also spent the majority of the 2015-16 season with Rockford and led all Hogs skaters with 51 points (18g, 33a) in 66 games.
Next Home Game: Tuesday, Feb. 28 vs. Manitoba Moose at 7 p.m. The IceHogs host the Moose in the fifth season matchup between the two teams. Tuesday is a Fas Fuel Winning Weekday and a WXRX Dollar Day.
