Highmore Recalled by Chicago
ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that they have recalled forward Matthew Highmore from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Highmore, 23, has notched 10 points (4g, 6a) in 17 games with the IceHogs this season. He picked up an assist in Rockford’s overtime victory over San Antonio on Sunday and now has three points over his last five contests with two goals and a helper in that span. Overall, the third-year forward has posted 62 points (31g, 31a) in 93 career AHL games with the IceHogs from 2017-19.
The Halifax, Novia Scotia native joins the Blackhawks with two career goals in 13 career NHL games with Chicago during the 2017-18 campaign. He made his NHL debut March 1 at San Jose and scored his first NHL goal on March 10 at Boston.
