Tanguay has six points (2g-4a) in last two games with Toledo
Rockford, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Saturday that the National Hockey League club has recalled left wing Bryan Bickell from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Additionally, the Blackhawks have reassigned goalie Alec Richards and center Adam Hobson from the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL to Rockford and the IceHogs have recalled center Maxime Tanguay from Toledo.
Bickell, 23, has appeared in 10 games with the Blackhawks this season, recording a goal, the game winner, on Nov. 22. He also has a +3 plus/minus rating in that time. Overall, Bickell has notched three goals in 17 career regular-season games with the Blackhawks over parts of three seasons (2006-07; 2007-08 and 2009-10).
He has collected six goals, ten points and 39 penalty minutes in 26 AHL tilts with the IceHogs this season. Chicago’s third choice (41st overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Bickell has appeared in 187 career AHL regular-season contests with the Norfolk Admirals (2006-07) and IceHogs (2007-09) since turning pro in 2006, registering 41 goals, 47 assists, 88 points and 217 penalty minutes.
Tanguay, 21, leads the Walleye with 11 goals and 19 assists in 26 games including six points (2g-4a) in his last two games. He has one assist in three games with the IceHogs in 2009-10.
Richards, 22, has an 8-3-0-3 record with a 3.11 goals against average and .903 save percentage in 14 games with Toledo. He is 2-1-0-0 with Rockford in three starts with a 2.02 goals against average and .929 save percentage.
Hobson, 22, has earned his first recall to the IceHogs after tallying 27 points (12g-15a) in 26 games with Toledo. The Mission, British Columbia native started the season with Rockford, being held without a point in one game.
