Hawks Send Captain Seney & Team MVP Fitzgerald to Hogs
Rockford, IL - The Chicago Blackhawks today announced the following transactions:
- F Brett Seney - Released from PTO, assigned to Rockford (AHL)
- F Paul Ludwinski - Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
- D Cavan Fitzgerald - Released from PTO, assigned to Rockford (AHL)
- D Andrew Perrott - Released from PTO, assigned to Rockford (AHL)
- D Taige Harding - Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
- D Dmitry Kuzmin - Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
- D Ryan Mast - Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
The IceHogs Training Camp roster grows to 26 players (nine defensemen, 15 forwards, and two goalies). Players will be added to the Rockford training camp roster during the remainder of the Chicago Blackhawks' preseason schedule.
This batch of players assigned includes IceHogs' captain Brett Seney who returns to Rockford for his fourth season. The forward has recorded 56 career goals and 156 points while wearing an IceHogs' uniform.
Also included in the transactions is defenseman Cavan Fitzgerald who was named the team's "MVP" and "Heaviest Hitter" last season. Both Fitzgerald and Seney signed two-year AHL contracts with Rockford this summer.
