Blackhawks right wing Martin Havlat will undergo season-ending surgery on his left shoulder in Cleveland Thursday, coach Denis Savard told reporters Wednesday.
Havlat initially injured his shoulder against the Wild during the first game of the season and then re-injured it against Phoenix on February 27.
He is expected to require four months of rehabilitation and be ready for training camp in September.
Havlat finished the season with 10 goals and 17 assists in 35 games.
