Harding and Commesso Power the IceHogs Past the Wolves

Rockford, IL - The Rockford IceHogs stormed through the Chicago Wolves 4-1 on Friday night inside the BMO Center.
The IceHogs jumped out to an early lead six minutes into the 1st period. Jamie Engelbert teamed up with Martin Misiak in the blue paint and the rookie deflected the puck home.
Chicago equalized with 18 seconds to go while on the game's first power play. Ryan Suzuki got a piece of a snap pass off the far post and slid the puck past Drew Commesso.
Rockford regained the lead at 5:17 of the middle period to take a 2-1 advantage. Gavin Hayes fed an area pass for Joey Anderson to skate onto in the offensive zone. Anderson deked to his backhand and went upstairs for his 10th of the year.
In the 3rd, Taige Harding provided insurance with a blast from the far dot for his second professional goal. Leading now 3-1, the Rockford defense settled in and Commesso shut the door, finishing with 29 saves.
Rem Pitlick grabbed his second point of the game with an empty-net tally for the 4-1 final.
