Rockford, Ill. – Hammy will be out in the Rockford community soaking up the sun all weekend long, including multiple appearances on Saturday.
On Friday, Hammy will be at Rockford Christian School for the 2011 Winnebago County Relay For Life starting at 7 p.m. Hammy will be supporting the IceHogs Booster Club and all the other participants to help raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Association.
Then on Saturday morning, the Hogs mascot will join the cancer walk put on by Healing Pathways beginning at 9 a.m. The walk will be held at the Keeling-Puri Peace Plaza on Perryville Road.
Following the cancer walk, Hammy will put on his running shoes as he will compete in a mascot race at the Arlington Race Track in Arlington Heights. The race gets started at noon and Hammy will be joined by several other area mascots to help celebrate Arli’s birthday party.
To wrap up the busy day Hammy will head out to the Boone County Fairgrounds to partake in General Mills’ Employee Appreciation day.
Hammy will close out the weekend on Sunday at the Kishwaukee Baptist Church fun fair. The fun fair runs from 1-2 p.m. and Hammy will be there signing autographs and hanging out with kids.
