GILBERT REASSIGNED, HOBSON RELEASED FROM PTO
Hogs trim roster by two
Rockford, Ill.- The National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned forward David Gilbert from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs to the Central Hockey League’s Bloomington Blaze. In addition, winger Adam Hobson has been released from his PTO by the IceHogs.
Gilbert, 21, has skated in three games with Rockford this season, marking an assist. Chicago’s seventh round selection (#209 overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Gilbert has 13g-12a-25pts in 31 games with the Blaze this season.
Hobson, 26, played in two games over the weekend with Rockford. The Mission, B.C. native has skated in 16 contests with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye this season, totaling 4g-6a-10pts. In his career, Hobson has appeared in 99 games with Rockford, amassing 8g-17a-25pts.
Next Home Game: Saturday, Feb. 9 vs. Houston Aeros. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m. The first 2,000 fans to the game will pick up a Colin Fraser Bobblehands figurine courtesy of Gatorade, recognizing the first former IceHogs skater to win two Stanley Cups.
