The Matchup:

Last Time Out: Rockford and Grand Rapids met last night at the BMO Center, with the Griffins taking home a 4-2 win.

Grand Rapids netted three uninterrupted goals in the second period to take a 3-0 lead heading into the third.

Rockford made another late push when Gavin Hayes set up Nick Lardis for his first goal of the season. Shortly after, Brett Seney located a rebound and scored in the last five minutes of regulation to bring the IceHogs within a goal. After a multitude of attempts, the IceHogs couldn't score the equalizer, and Grand Rapids scored on an empty net to mark the final 4-2 score.
