In conjunction with official broadcasting partners Comcast SportsNet, WGN-TV Channel 9, and Chicago’s WGN Radio, the Chicago Blackhawks announced the 2010 preseason broadcast schedule. The 2010 slate includes televising four of the club’s seven preseason games, the most in franchise history, as well as two games on WGN Radio.

Comcast SportsNet will carry Chicago’s September 22 game against Tampa Bay (at Winnipeg, 7:00 P.M.) and September 24 contest at the Detroit Red Wings (6:00 P.M.), while WGN-TV will broadcast the team’s September 25 matchup against Detroit (7:00 P.M.) and October 3 tilt against the St. Louis Blues (5:00 P.M.). All times listed are Central.

The radio home for Blackhawks hockey, Chicago’s WGN Radio, will air the Blackhawks’ September 25 game versus Detroit (7:00 P.M.) and the preseason finale on October 3 against St. Louis (3:00 P.M.).

Compared with the 2008-09 regular season, ratings for games on Comcast SportsNet increased 94 percent while games on WGN-TV increased 86 percent during the 2009-10 regular season. Comcast SportsNet carried nine of the Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks’ playoff games during the first two rounds, reaching approximately 2.4 million Chicago homes.
