Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Monday that four players have been reassigned from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League to the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).
Right Wing Dan Bertram, Center Adam Hobson and Goalie Alec Richards have been sent by the Chicago Blackhawks to Toledo. Center Maxime Tanguay was reassigned by Rockford.
Tanguay, 20, made his professional debut on Sunday against the Peoria Rivermen, finishing with a plus/minus of -1 without a point on four shots. The Sainte-Justine, Québec native was drafted #69 overall (round 3) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He signed an AHL contract with the IceHogs on Sept. 9, 2009.
Bertram, 22, recorded 10 points (4g-6a) in 56 games with the IceHogs in 2008-09. He also had four points (1g-3a) in five games with the Fresno Falcons (ECHL) last season. The second-year pro made his debut with the IceHogs on Oct. 10, 2008 after a four-year college career with Boston College (NCAA). He was selected #54 overall (round 2) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Hobson, 22, has appeared in 67 career games with Rockford, notching 19 points (6g-13a). He has recorded 34 points (16g-18a) in 56 games between three teams in the ECHL. The Mission, British Columbia native was picked #203 overall (round 7) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Richards, 22, completed a four-year college career at Yale University in 2008-09 with a 39-39-6 record in 91 appearances. He has a career .911 save percentage and 2.55 goals against average. The Robbinsdale, Minnesota native signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks on June 8, 2009.
