FOUR ASSIGNED TO ICEHOGS

Rockford, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Saturday that they have assigned forward Kyle Baun and defensemen Carl Dahlstrom, Dillon Fournier, and Nolan Valleau to the Rockford IceHogs. All four players will report to IceHogs training camp.

Baun, 26, returns to Rockford for his second professional season after appearing in 43 games with the IceHogs and two games with the Blackhawks last season. The Toronto, Ontario native posted nine points with the IceHogs (1G-8A) and 16 PIM. Baun began his professional career at the end of the 2014-15 campaign when he skated in three games for Chicago.

Dahlstrom, 21, is set to start his first full campaign in North America after competing for Linkoping HC in the Swedish Hockey League for the last three seasons. With Linkoping last year, Dahlstrom scored one goal and added seven assists for eight points. He has appeared in six regular season games with the IceHogs over the past two years, earning one assist, and additionally posted one assist in three postseason games with Rockford last season. Dahlstrom was drafted by Chicago in the second round (#51 overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Fournier, 22, played two games for the IceHogs in 2015-16 and earned three points in 21 contests with Rockford in 2014-15. A former second-round selection by the Blackhawks in 2012, Fournier has appeared in 41 games with Rockford's ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel, since starting his professional career, scoring two goals and adding six assists for eight points.

Valleau, 23, began his professional career last season, notching 12 points on a goal and 11 assists in 62 games with the IceHogs. The Novi, Mich. native skated one season for the Bowling Green State University Falcons in 2014-15 before joining the pro ranks, and his 19 points tied for the team lead and placed him in a tie for seventh among all WCHA defensemen.

The IceHogs are set to start training camp tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 2.
