FLINN BACK IN THE MIX IN ROCKFORD

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced Tuesday that Left Wing Ryan Flinn has been signed to a Professional Try-Out Agreement by the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Flinn, 29, appeared in two games for the IceHogs earlier this season, racking up nine penalty minutes. He was with the team on a PTO before being released on October 13, 2009.

The Halifax, Nova Scotia native was selected #143 overall (round 5) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils. He skated in 52 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2008-09, notching two goals, two assists and 122 penalty minutes. In 297 career AHL games, Flinn has collected 30 points (13g-17a) and 945 PIMs.
Flinn has played in a total of 31 games in the National Hockey League, all with the Los Angeles Kings. He has notched one career goal and 84 penalty minutes.
