EWING REASSGINED TO TOLEDO

Ewing Bryan
BU grad posted two points in nine games for Hogs

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced Wednesday that the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have reassigned right winger Bryan Ewing to the team’s ECHL affiliate, the Toledo Walleye.

The second-year player, who turns 24 on Nov. 23, posted a goal and an assist, four PIMs and a minus-2 rating in nine games with the Hogs. Ewing also played two games last season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, registering four PIMs in three games. His AHL debut with the Penguins was Feb. 8 against Norfolk.

The 2008 Boston University graduate was Rookie of the Year last season in the ECHL while skating in his home town of Wheeling. Ewing led the Nailers with 91 points (43g-48a), good for second in the league and tops among rookies, despite playing in just 67 games.

Ewing played all four years at BU and led the Terriers with 26 assists during his senior season of 2007-08. He made his debut as a freshman Oct. 8 against Miami (Ohio) University and had four game-winning goals as a junior. He amassed 108 points (48g-60a) and 122 PIMs in 143 collegiate games.

Next Home Game: Friday, Nov. 13 vs. Texas Stars. The puck is set to drop at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans into the building will get an IceHogs cape courtesy of Rasmussen College and The Eagle. For tickets call (815) 968-5222 or visit
