Dylan Sikura Recalled by Chicago, Wedin Reassigned to Hogs

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks today announced they have recalled forward Dylan Sikura from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs and reassigned forward Anton Wedin to Rockford.

Sikura, 24, has skated in 22 games with the IceHogs this season, logging 16 points (9g, 7a) with 99 shots on goal. He leads the team in markers, shares the team lead with his brother in overall scoring and is ranked first among all AHL skaters in shots on goal. The IceHogs’ reigning Rookie of the Year has also tallied points in seven of his last eight games and 13 of his 22 total AHL appearances this year.

The Aurora, Ontario native was originally selected by Chicago in the sixth round (178th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft. He has combined for 11 assists in 38 career NHL contests with the Blackhawks.

Wedin, 26, made his North American professional debut with Rockford this season and has since collected 11 points (4g, 7a) over 17 AHL games. He debuted on Oct. 12 vs. Grand Rapids, scored his first career AHL goal that night and ripped off a three-game point streak over his first three appearances with the Hogs. The forward then posted a three-point effort with a trio of assists on Nov. 3 vs. the Chicago Wolves and tallied four points over his final four games with Rockford prior to being recalled by the Blackhawks on Nov. 27.

The Sundsvall, Sweden native appeared in four NHL games for Chicago, including making his NHL debut on Nov. 30 at Colorado.
