Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs have a full slate of community appearances for the upcoming month of February. The full list of charitable efforts is listed below and will also feature the team’s first “Duck Toss” event to benefit the Special Olympics.
Fans can win $500 and other various prizes as part of the IceHogs Duck Toss event on Sunday, Feb 18. To participate, fans can purchase a rubber duck for $5 or a pack of five rubber ducks for $20. The IceHogs will then drop the rubber ducks from the BMO Harris Bank Center’s rafters onto a target on the ice following the conclusion of the IceHogs home game against San Antonio on Feb. 18. The duck that lands closest to the target will win $500, and several other lucky ducks will be selected to win various IceHogs prizes.
Rubber ducks can be purchased at any upcoming IceHogs home game or by calling the IceHogs front office at (815) 986-6465. A portion of the proceeds from the Duck Toss will benefit the Special Olympics Illinois.
