Rockford, Ill.- The future of the Rockford IceHogs and Chicago Blackhawks will be on display on Friday and Saturday at the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft in Los Angeles. The 30 teams will make a total of 210 picks. The Blackhawks have eight picks starting with the 30th overall.

Of the 93 players who have worn an IceHogs sweater since the team joined the American Hockey League, 54 (58 percent) came into professional hockey through the draft. And of those 54 players, 31 of them came to Rockford as Blackhawks picks.

A total of 12 players from the 2004, including Dave Bolland, Bryan Bickell, Jake Dowell and Kris Versteeg, have skated for Rockford, the most of any draft class. The 2005 draft is close behind with 11 players, including Troy Brouwer, Jack Skille and Niklas Hjalmarsson.
