DOWELL RECALLED TO BLACKHAWKS, TANGUAY RETURNED TO TOLEDO

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Stan Bowman announced on Sunday that the National Hockey League club has recalled center Jake Dowell from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Also, the IceHogs returned center Maxime Tanguay on loan to the Toledo Walleye (ECHL), Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced.

Dowell, 24, has skated in 55 games with the IceHogs, recording 18 points (6g-12a). Four of his six goals have been game winners, all of which have come in January and February. Rockford’s team captain has also been held without a point in two games with the Blackhawks this season. He has skated in 22 career NHL game s, all with the Blackhawks, notching two goals and one assist.

Tanguay, 21, has appeared in five games with the IceHogs this season, recording an assist. The Lac Etchemin, Quebec native leads Toledo with 45 points (17g-28a) in 43 games in his first professional season.
