Rockford, Ill.- Hammy will be out and about again this weekend.
The Rockford IceHogs' mascot will be heading over to Freeport on Saturday for the Illinois Women in Networking's Community Day celebrations. The all-day event benefits the Freeport Pregnancy Center and is hosted by Happy Joe's restaraunt at 1735 S. West Ave. in Freeport. Several area dignitaries will be taking a turn in the dunk tank in the morning and a collection of vendors will be serving food throughout the day. Hammy will be there from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Hammy is then stopping by the Liver Life Walk at Road Ranger Stadium in Loves Park. Registration begins at 3 p.m. and the walk starts at 4:05 p.m. followed by the RiverHawks baseball game at 6:05 p.m.
Hammy also stopped by both Peanut Butter Rally locations on Friday. Gerber Collision and Glass was collecting peanut butter and cash donations for the Rock River Valley Food Pantry during the lunch hours at their Loves Park and Rockford locations.
