Party starts at 6 p.m.

Rockford, Ill.- With the Rockford IceHogs home opener fast approaching, fans can whet their appetite for the first home tilt by attending a Road Watch Party at District Bar and Grill on Friday.

The IceHogs take on the Peoria Rivermen on Friday at 7:05 p.m. and fans can take in the game at District, located one block north of the BMO Harris Bank Center on West State St., on WIFR’s 23.2 “Weather Now.” The party stats at 6 p.m. and fans can take advantage of some great food and drink specials.

Fans attending the party can sign up to win prizes at every timeout and during the intermissions. Prizes include tickets for an 18-person suite, a game worn IceHogs jersey, autographed stick, opening night tickets and more.

Slavko Bekovic will emcee the event and will also host IceHogs trivia contests during both intermissions. The IceHogs’ Mountain Dew Crew will be on hand as well handing out promotional items and prizes.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Oct. 20 vs. Charlotte Checkers. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs open the home portion of their regular season slate against the Checkers at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The first 5,000 fans to the game will pick up an IceHogs “It All Starts Here” calendar.
