ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned goaltender Collin Delia from the ECHL’s Indy Fuel to the Rockford IceHogs. In addition, the IceHogs have recalled defenseman Robin Press from the Fuel.
Delia, 23, is 1-4-1 with a 4.00 GAA and 0.894 GAA in six games with Indy this season. The Rancho Cucamonga native earned his first professional win by stopping 37 of 39 pucks in the Fuel’s 5-2 victory on Oct. 27 at Florida. Prior to beginnig professional career, Delia was named the Hockey East Goaltending Champion last season while also earning Hockey East Third Team All-Star honors after ranking 14th in the nation with a 2.15 goals against average and ninth with a .927 save percentage for Merrimack College.
Press, 22, has spent the majority of the 2017-18 season with the Fuel, collecting three assists and a +1 rating in six games with the IceHogs’ ECHL affiliate. He is currently tied for first among team defenseman with his three total points on the year. The Uppsala, Sweden native now returns to Rockford where he has totaled three shots in two AHL contests for the IceHogs.
