Delia Assigned to Rockford
ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks today announced they have assigned goaltender Collin Delia to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Delia, 25, split the 2018-19 campaign between Rockford and Chicago. He combined to post a 13-8-4 record with a 2.48 GAA and .922 save percentage in 26 AHL games during his stints with the IceHogs, finishing the season ranked second among qualified goaltenders in save percentage and ninth in GAA. The second-year IceHogs netminder only once suffered back-to-back regulation losses during the campaign and limited opponents to two or fewer goals in 16 of his 26 AHL outings.
The Rancho Cucamonga, California native also went 6-4-3 with a 3.61 GAA and .908 save percentage in 16 NHL games for the Blackhawks, including winning each of his first three starts on Dec. 21 at Colorado (35 saves), Dec. 27 vs. Minnesota (46 saves) and Dec. 29 at Colorado (30 saves).
Overall, Delia is 30-15-8 with a 2.61 GAA and .911 save percentage in 54 career AHL appearances with Rockford. He also owns a 7-5-3 record with a 3.65 GAA and .906 save percentage in 18 career NHL appearances.
